Nigel Cooke

Yorkshire born Nigel made an early impact on the art world selling his first painting at the age of 14, but his art career didn’t really take off until he left the Merchant Navy which he had joined upon leaving school.

It was joining Butlins as a resident caricaturist that was the springboard to his full time career as an artist, this lead to concessions on Blackpool Pier and Pleasure Beach, Trafford Centre and Alton Towers and an estimated 50,000 live sittings and today is still an active member of the National Caricature Network in the USA.

Nigel’s vibrant cityscapes are what he is best known for today, and his distinctive style of mixed media acrylics depict city’s across the world and have been favourites with collectors in the UK for the past ten years.
