Born in 1973 in the south of England, Nic’s artistic career starting when he worked in a stained glass and metalwork workshop. From here he studied at The Winchester School of Art in Hampshire and subsequently enrolled at John Makepeace’s College at Parnham House as an apprentice in furniture design and making.
Graduating in 1996 with three awards at the Cork Street Exhibition under his belt, Nic’s intricate figurines that depict everyday life have seen him gain considerable press coverage including World of Interiors, The Daily Mail, House & Gardens, Wallpaper Magazine and Town & Country House Magazine.
Nic sees his sculptures as pieces of theatre to get lost in. “The scale draws the viewer in, allowing for the intimacy one might feel peering into…someone’s life.”
